Mikaela Edwards Congratulations Mikaela On Saturday the 15th of March Mikaela Edwards of Horncastle Judo Club traveled to Wales to compete in the Welsh Open. Due to her age Miki couldn't compete in the British schools comp the previous week at Sheffield so the decision was made to make the trip to another very high profile event in Wales. At just the age of 9 Miki went into the comp against British minors at the under 48 kilos where she blitz the opposition to win gold, as a result she was then asked if she would like to enter the British pre-cadet section against pre-cadets that are already on the British squad where she had a repeat performance to win yet another gold. Head coach TJ said we are so proud of Miki to travel so far as the only player from the club to go and perform so well. This is our plan to enter certain comps for experience and to be fair we are way ahead of schedule all i want for Miki now is the letter to drop on the door mat from the British Judo Association to train with the squad.
